GW Photo Gallery
The GW IAD program has recently completed an extensive facility renovation. Our program is comprised of two stacked 'wings' in the Academic Building on Mount Vernon Campus. On the main level, we have a Design Lab, two Studios, the Design Office, Faculty Offices, and a wide Gallery/Hallway. On the lower level, we have an additional Studio and a new Computer Lab.
The Design Lab is an incubator for creativity. There is extensive shelving for new, sustainable materials as well as architecture and design texts and periodicals. There is a large, central meeting table with original Eames molded armchairs. There are also two drafting tables with Steelcase Node stools, and two 20" Macs.
Studio 1 holds 15 work benches with Steelcase Node stools and 20 Steelcase Node desks for lectures. The studio has brand new A/V as well as extensive pinup space.
Studio 2 holds 16 work benches Steelcase Node stools. The studio has brand new A/V as well as extensive pinup space.
The Gallery/Hallway includes ample pin-up space for exhibiting student work and 68 large lockers for student storage.
Studio 3 holds 16 work benches with Steelcase Node stools. The studio has brand new A/V as well as extensive pinup space.
The Computer Lab consists of 16 new Apple computers with Steelcase Node chairs.
